Malta is an archipelago located in the Mediterranean Sea and is bordered by Italy, Tunisia and Algeria. The capital city is Valletta and the official languages are Maltese and English. Malta’s geography consists of three islands; Malta, Gozo and Comino. The main island features some stunning landscapes including the dramatic cliffs of Dingli which offer some breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea. Additionally, there are several beaches such as Golden Bay Beach which makes for a great spot for swimming or sunbathing amongst its white sands and crystal clear waters. The country also features several rivers such as the Birkirkara River which runs through Malta and empties into the Mediterranean Sea at Valletta. Lastly, there are numerous hills such as Dingli Hill which offer some stunning views of the surrounding countryside and activities such as hiking or mountain biking amongst its rolling hills.
