Cambodia is a small country located in Southeast Asia and bordered by Thailand, Laos, and Vietnam. It has a total area of 181,035 square kilometers and is divided into 25 provinces. The country’s terrain is mostly flat with some hills in the southwest region. The climate of Cambodia is tropical with warm temperatures year-round. Average temperatures range between 66°F (19°C) during winter months to 86°F (30°C) during summer months. Rainfall tends to be heaviest in the south and southwest part of the country while the central part receives less rain throughout the year. Cambodia’s landscape consists mostly of low-lying plains with a variety of plants and animals such as tigers, elephants, leopards and monkeys. The country also contains several protected areas such as Ang Trapeang Thmor Reserve which provides an ideal habitat for wildlife such as water buffalo, deer and various species of birds.
