New Hampshire (named after the English county of Hampshire; abbreviated NH or NH), a state in the United States that is one of the original states of New England. New Hampshire has an area of  24,033 km² and about 1.3 million inhabitants. The capital is Concord.

The climate is continental and the landscape is hilly with many smaller lakes. The largest city is Manchester, which has about 110,000 inhabitants. Agriculture, the machinery industry, the metal industry, the textile industry, shoe manufacturing and tourism are important industries. New Hampshire was his own province in 1679 and state in 1788. He is called Granite State.
