Nepal is a state in South Asia. It borders Tibet to the northeast and India to the southwest. In the north lies a large part of the Himalaya Mountains, including Mount Everest, whose summit is the highest point on earth at 8,848 m above sea level, and seven more of the ten highest mountains on earth. The lowest point, on the other hand, is just 70 m above sea level. NN, near Kencha Kalan in southern Nepal. Nevertheless, Nepal is still the highest country in the world on average, over 40% of the country is above 3,000 m.
